6 and Under
This program is recommended for players who can independently stand on their skates and ready to learn the sport of hockey!
Ages
For the 2026-27 season this program will be for athletes born between 2020 and 2021. Athletes born in 2022 will be considered on an individual basis.
Where
Your practices and home games will be played at the Bethlehem YMCA.
When
Registration will open mid summer and closes at the end of September. Practices begin in mid October and your season runs until the end of February.
Practices/Games
Practices will be Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning. Practices will begin in mid October.
We are lucky to have North American Hockey System coach Dave Randall and his staff run our skills night practices each week.
Our 6u team will primarily play in a house league style game format for the 'games' portion of the season. This means athletes will be assigned to a team and play peers within the organization. We plan to have multiple teams and up to 10 house league games for our athletes.
Some of our 6u athletes may also play cross ice games against teams from other local organizations.
All athletes and teams are coached by USA Hockey certified adults and will always practice together.
